Dear All

We are pleased to let you know of the coming three courses for 2010:

LAKE DISTRICT WEEKEND
Our pinnacle event, this event takes place at Rydal Hall (catered bunkhouse accommodation) on 19-21 February 2010. The course fee is £42 and the booking form is now available online. Last year, all the crampons went out and some got used so if you fancy getting cold, wet, wind-blown and exhausted yet have an exhilarating time, this event is the one for you. Again, full information is on the website and we had to turn people away last year. So, if interested, please get your applications in to me before Christmas and book this event into your diary.

ADVANCE NOTICE - 2010 WILD CAMPING COURSE
Due to personal problems within the team this year, this course had to be postponed. We are therefore hoping to run it in the Elan Valley next June (2010). All the info will be posted to the website in due course however there will only be a few places on this course. As bookings are opened, we'll mail you again with this notification. If you can't wait until then, come to Snowdonia with us!

SNOWDONIA MEET - SEPTEMBER 2010
Our annual autumn terrain 2 mountaineering trip is planned, as always, for September. Based from Capel Curig campsite the 2009 event saw a change in style, having a two-day wild camping weekend instead of the usual two one-day forays into the hills. Camping high in the Carnedds we enjoyed a good weekend and may repeat this format next year. Information will, as ever, be posted on the website and more information will follow when details have been set.

COUNTY SKILLS WEEKEND - OCTOBER 2010
For those of you not up to terrain 2 walking, completely new to walking through to polishing your skills for a pending assessment, this course has to be for you. Based on the edge of Brecon in a quality bunkhouse, we run a fully catered weekend of instruction and tuition. Another quality weekend was held in 2009 with a full course of pupils enjoying the best the Llangattock plateau could throw at them Saturday with multiple ascents of the Pen-y-Fan ridge on Sunday. Please check the website for more information.

AND AGAIN, COMMUNICATION WITH ME
Thanks to those of you now ringing me for information - I trust the phone service is suiting you better than e-mail. For those of you mailing me, I hope to clear the latest batch of mails / applications / re-applications this week as business slows down.

Kind Regards,

Mark Hennell
