02/11/2007 : Rubbish Art

Categories : | Scouts | Views : 783

Over the a few weeks, in September and October 2007, the scouts enjoyed creating pictures and building models from stuff we normally treat as rubbish. The following pictures show the results of our efforts with graffiti art as well as “rubbish” models. The canvasses were recycled and the models speak for themselves!

Rubbish Art Photo 1 Here is Spongebob Squarepants and friends. Not ALL the leaders knew what on earth was being created here but the Scouts knew! The fact that all the characters were recognisable (to those in the know, of course) was testament to the artists’ ability with the spray paint.

Rubbish Art Photo 2 One of the best graffiti art pictures was this one depicting Concorde flying over a ship being brought under the Severn Bridge by two tugs.

Rubbish Art Photo 6 Starting with this lot the Scouts were challenged to produce a 3D picture or model.
The results were impressive

Rubbish Art Photo 4 Well done, Skip. It looks lethal from here!

These pictures show what can be achieved with just a few minutes spare time, some recycled materials and a lot of imagination. And when we had finished with our rubbish, what did we do?

RECYCLED IT AGAIN!

Until the next time?
